Cockroaches کاکروچز

What are the
Cockroaches

Cockroaches are insects of the order Blattodea (Blattaria). Cockroaches are hardy creatures and breed rapidly. They are one the oldest living insect. Cockroaches seek out warm places and often enter homes or business premises. There are some interesting facts about cockroaches:

Cockroaches can squeeze through the tiniest of gaps.

Cockroaches have been around since the time of dinosaurs!

A cockroach can live almost a month without food.

A cockroach can live about two weeks without water.

A cockroach can live for up to one week without its head!

Any standing water in places like bird baths, flower pots, and gutters will attract cockroaches. Compost and wood piles provide food and shelter. Trash and recycling bins provide an excellent food source. Leaf litter, dense vegetation, and mulch or pine straw provides ideal hiding places.

It may surprise you to know that cockroaches are, in fact, able to bite humans. There have been reported cases of cockroaches biting fingernails, eyelashes and calloused skin on hands or feet. Cockroaches will also eat dead skin cells. However, cases of cockroach bites are extremely rare. They are fast! cockroaches can run up to 80 centimeters per second, and can change directions 25 times per second. Roaches chew sideways and they will eat nearly anything including book bindings, glue, and even feces.

Cockroach Bite

When you get roaches in the home, cases involving cockroaches biting humans are extremely rare, but if they bite people, it can cause allergic reactions. A cockroach bite is more than an inconvenience to a person with asthma or other breathing issues.

Although cockroach bites are not dangerous to humans; however, the allergens they produce pose a problem. Often the result of allergens is a skin reaction, such as a rash that lasts for days or even triggers an asthma attack.

You might develop a skin rash or experience shortness of breath following a cockroach bite. In extreme cases, the area around the bite might become infected, causing the wound to be inflamed and filled with pus. Seek medical attention right away if this happens.

It is a misbelief and thought that a cockroach releases venom when it bites a human. Cockroach bites do not leave venom simply because cockroaches are not venomous. However, they will leave bright red side marks, and the skin can be rather itchy at the site. Although this pest is not poisonous, being bitten by one still requires you to seek medical care immediately since cockroaches are dirty insects and carriers of many forms of bacteria.

Are bedbugs life threating کھٹمل

What are the
Bed Bugs (کھٹمل)

Bed bugs are tiny, flat wingless insects that feed on blood from humans or animals, usually at night. that are reddish-brown in color and approximately one-quarter inch long, before feeding (about the size and shape of a small apple seed).
bedbugs
They hide during the day on beds (mattress seams, box springs, bed frames, headboards) and in cracks and crevices of walls, bed frames, spaces under baseboards, lose or peeling wallpaper, electrical switch plates, conduits for electrical cables, sofas and come out at night.

Bedbugs don’t always feed every night and can go several weeks without eating. This can make it more difficult to notice them. It may take a few weeks to realize that the bites are part of a larger pattern. And that’s problematic because bedbugs can multiply very quickly. A female can lay 3 to 5 eggs per day.

Bed bug’s bites are not known to transmit any infectious disease but their bites can result in a number of health impacts, including skin rashes, psychological effects, and allergic symptoms. Bed bug bites may lead to skin changes ranging from small areas of redness to prominent blisters.  Some individuals may feel tired or have a fever.

They do not fly or jump, but they can crawl rapidly.

Bedbugs can bite any part of your body. However, they typically bite skin that is exposed while you sleep.

Feed

As we all know, bed bugs feed on blood. They do this with the help of their proboscis, which is a kind of elongated beak. When biting, bedbugs inject an anesthetic into the skin, so people do not feel anything at the time of the bite.
The most common symptoms are small red bumps that are very itchy. These bumps are often distributed in a zig zag pattern, although they can also be in a straight line. Symptoms of itching appear from 10 minutes to 2 hours after the bite, it all depends on the sensitivity of each person’s skin

Allergic Reactions & Infections from Bedbug Bite on Human

Although rare, there have been isolated case reports of systemic allergic reaction to bedbug bites. Reactions typically included hives, asthma, and in rare occasions, anaphylaxis.

To reduce the risk of infection, was the bite with soap and water, and try not to scratch them.

If you suspect that you’ve developed an infection or allergic reaction to a bedbug bite, contact to a doctor. Get emergency medical care if you develop any of following after being bitten:

⦁ Multiple hives
Itchy red bumps from hives may spread from one part of your body to another.
⦁ Difficulty breathing
⦁ Swelling of throat or mouth
⦁ Chills
⦁ Fever
⦁ Dizziness
⦁ Confusion

Bedbug Bites and Reactions on Pets

Bedbugs don’t just bite humans. They can also feed on family pets. If you have a pet who’s been bitten by bedbugs, the bites will likely get better on their own. But in some cases, they might become infected. Make an appointment with a veterinarian if you suspect your pet has an infected bite.

If you hire a pest control expert to get rid of bedbugs in your home, let them know if you have a pet. Some insecticides may be safer for your pet than others. It’s also important to wash your pet’s bed, stuffed toys, and other accessories where bedbugs live.

Termite (Deemak) What is Termite? | دیمک کیا ہے

What is Termite (دیمک کیا ہے؟)

Termites are small insects that are usually less than a half-inch in length. These insects live in colonies with their own hierarchies. Termite colonies can vary in size, including just two termites — a king and queen — to a few hundred individuals. However, mature termite colonies can contain 60,000 to 1 million termites, depending on the type of termite colony. Over 2,000 species of termites can be found around the world. Termite colonies, which can include thousands of individuals, often live in large dirt mounds. When a female termite hits breeding age, she may emerge from her colony and find a mate. The pair then creates a burrow in the ground and the female (called a queen) begins to produce eggs—a lot of them. In fact this female generates around 30,000 eggs a day! Once her offspring hatch, they become part of her colony.

As the female produces more and more eggs, she begins to grow. Over time she can become the length of an adult human’s index finger. That’s a hundred times bigger than any of the termites that surround her. Eventually the queen gets so large that she can barely move. Luckily members of the queen’s community are there to wait on her, um, antenna and foot.

Types of Termite

There are many different kinds of species of termites found in the Sub-continent, each of which falls into one of the three main termite types:

drywood-termitesDrywood Termites belong to the family Kalotermitidae and typically live in wood, such as dead trees, structural timbers or hardwood floors. Unlike subterranean termites, drywood termites do not require contact with soil. Some drywood termite species can cause significant damage to homes. However, drywood termite colonies tend to be smaller than subterranean termite colonies, so they typically cause damage at a slower rate than subterranean termites.

dampwood-termite

Dampwood Termites belong to the families family Kalotermitidae and Hodotermitidae and live in wood with high moisture content. Most dampwood termites do not require contact with the soil. Dampwood termites are rarely found in homes or other man-made structures, since wood in these structures typically does not have enough moisture.

Termite (Demak) A Real Life Nightmare

Termites are a group of detritophagous eusocial insects which consume a wide variety of decaying plant material, generally in the form of woodleaf litter, and soil humus. They are distinguished by their moniliform antennae and the soft-bodied and often unpigmented worker caste for which they have been commonly termed “white ants“; however, they are not ants, to which they are only distantly related.[3] About 2,972 extant species are currently described, 2,105 of which are members of the family Termitidae.

Many of the offspring that hatch from the queen’s eggs become worker termites. They help the queen by keeping her clean, feeding her plant fibers, and looking after newly laid eggs. These insects may also double as construction workers, carrying up soil from underground to create the colony’s mound. Some termite mounds can reach over 17 feet in height. Sounds like the termite queen and her workers really know how to go big!
